You could say that the church was the original community centre. By opening our doors to the community, we have developed many positive relationships within our region!
Do you need a place to hold a private or group event? Then we just might have the space for you! We offer a gymnasium, public-health approved kitchen, several classrooms, a family room and a sanctuary with acoustics that we are proud to boast about! There is also a lovely labyrinth located at the back of the church property for community use.
We are mobility-minded making our main entrance safe for wheelchairs and walkers with a gently sloped ramp and doors that open with the push of a button. We also have a lift for those who are unable to manage stairs. We have gender neutral, accessible washrooms on the main floor and a huge parking lot with accessible parking spots.
A wide-variety of groups that use our space on a regular basis: KW Karate, Mindful Makers, Nature Kids Community, music recitals, with other potential renters waiting in the wings. We’re proud of our outreach by supporting Scouting & Guides Canada, the Gay Men’s Social Network, and groups sponsored by church committees. We often provide space for groups that need a spot to hold a meeting or classes and summer camps too!
If you’re interested in renting space, please email the office admin@parkuc.ca and our Office Administrator will send you our application to complete. After your application is reviewed, you’ll be walked through the process. If you’re not familiar with Parkminster, we always encourage a visit – feel free to pop over during office hours and we’ll be happy to show you around!
